Financial Assistance for those in need at School of the Madeleine

About the Fund

The Pass It On Fund is a non-profit organization created and managed by a group of parents who sent their children to the School of the Madeleine. The Madeleine’s mission is to help students grow into morally informed individuals, lifelong learners and compassionate leaders. It is so much more than that. It is a community of people that have helped shape our children and given them a solid foundation.

The School of the Madeleine has a very strong tradition of Community. The Community includes families of students, alumni families, faculty and staff, and the Parish. We are a tight knit group that does what it takes to get things done. When a member of the Community experiences difficulties the rest of the Community will do what they can to provide help and support.

One of our alumni families made the Pass It On Fund possible with an extremely generous donation of one million dollars. With this donation, they want to make the School of the Madeleine a possibility for children that may not have otherwise had the chance to attend. Scholarship grants will be given each school year in perpetuity to families that meet the criteria. If you qualify for FACE or BASIC financial aide, you will automatically qualify and can be considered for a Pass It On grant. Please contact us with any questions.

The School of the Madeleine starts everyday with an assembly. This is usually done outside in the beautiful Dominican Garden, but is moved inside when it rains. The morning assembly is used as a time for the students to gather and get ready for the school day.  Announcements are made and every child will eventually have their first public speaking opportunities. At the end of every assembly, the principal, Joseph Nagel, calls out, “Be good to one another,” and the students respond, “And pass it on…”
